Kringum Iceland ("Kringum", "we", "us") is a travel app for exploring Iceland. We respect your privacy and are committed to keeping your personal data safe. This policy explains what information Kringum collects, how it is used, and your rights.
Location data. With your permission, Kringum accesses your device's location to show nearby points of interest on the map. Location data is processed on your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Audio streaming. Kringum streams audio content (e.g. guide narrations) from audio.kringum.is. Standard web-server access logs (IP address, timestamp, file requested) may be recorded for operational purposes. These logs are not used for tracking or profiling and are periodically deleted.
In-App Purchases. Purchases such as "Explorer" are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive or store your payment information. Purchase receipts are validated to unlock features; no personal financial data is retained by us.
Because Kringum processes location data on-device and does not collect personal information, there is minimal data stored on our servers. Server access logs are maintained only as long as needed for operational and security purposes.
Kringum does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app is designed for general audiences and does not require any personal data to function.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
